There is so much going on in higher education today—the challenges and opportunities of online learning, sorting out whether MOOCs will really change the world, figuring out how to make it more affordable to more people, and so much more. So we decided to start Aspire as a place to talk, argue and laugh about it all. We hope you’ll come by often, tell us what you like (and what you don’t), share a point of view and help us make sense of a field that looks very different today than it did 10 years ago—and will look very different a decade from now.
As for the College of Professional Studies (CPS), it’s one of the colleges of Northeastern University. It offers three doctoral degree programs, a wide variety of master’s degree and undergraduate programs, an amazing range of international programs, and many graduate certificates, all with the goal of helping our students advance their careers, make lasting connections and spark their love of learning. Our faculty are respected scholars pursuing the latest research in their fields and industry leaders whose real-world experiences are put into practice in the classroom.
