Coursera, one of the higher-profile names in online education, has produced an infographic that showcases some pretty diversely impressive stats. It makes a strong case for proof of concept, regarding online education in general—and as a success story for Coursera in particular.
Some of the figures are pretty stunning (more than 5,500 cumulative years of video-hours watched?!), and others serve more as indications that online ed is more than a whim or a fad—you don’t get 19 million course enrollments or 107 partner universities if you’re a flash in the pan.
Take a look at the infographic; can you see yourself in any of those numbers? Does it affect the way you look at online ed? Let us know.
