    Dr. John LaBrie is the dean of Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies, which offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. Dean LaBrie was an adult learner, earning his bachelor’s degree in French part-time from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. He then went on to earn an MSA in management from Saint Michael’s College and an EdD from the University of Pennsylvania.
  • Kevin Bell

    Kevin Bell is the executive director for Online Curriculum Development and Deployment at Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies. He leads Northeastern's efforts toward the goal of high-quality, professional online programs based on industry and academic standards. He works closely with senior leadership to ensure that the Northeastern University Online strategy aligns with the College's five-year vision and with the University's academic and regional campus goals.
  • Michael Hoffman

    Dr. Michael Hoffman is the executive director for Information Technology at St. Bonaventure University, and has also taught courses in the School of Business at St. Bonaventure on business information systems and internet marketing. In 2013, he received the Dean's Medal for Outstanding Doctoral Work, the highest honor awarded by the Northeastern University College Professional Studies to a doctoral student.
  • Dan Urman

    Daniel J. Urman is a faculty member and the director of the Doctorate in Law and Policy program at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies. He developed and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of political science and law and public policy at Northeastern. Mr. Urman was a Marshall Scholar at the University of Oxford.
  • Neenah Estrella-Luna

    Dr. Neenah Estrella-Luna is a faculty member in the Doctor of Law and Policy program. She oversees the research methods curriculum and supervises the thesis process for all doctoral students. She is also affiliated with Northeastern’s School of Public Policy and the School of Nursing.
  • Art Laman

    Art LaMan III is a faculty member in the Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) program. He develops and delivers educational content on topics in the Project Management curriculum, including Fundamentals of Project Management, Project Evaluation, Cost and Budget Management, and the Project Management Capstone course. Mr. LaMan serves as a mentor to adjunct faculty and students, developed the MSPM alumni outreach program, and creates and updates course material. He also serves as a project management, Lean Six Sigma, and nonprofit strategy/board development consultant to nonprofit organizations.
  • Brian Murphy Clinton

    Brian Murphy Clinton is the executive director of Enrollment Management for the Northeastern University College of Professional Studies. He expands the arena of enrollment management by building out models and strategies for various student populations, including online, graduate, first-generation, international and adult students.
  • Joseph Griffin

    Joseph A. Griffin is a faculty member in the Master of Science in Project Management program. He is a certified Project Management Professional as well as an active member of the local and international chapters of the Project Management Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council. Previously, Mr. Griffin worked in the residential construction industry as a project manager for numerous construction and land development projects.
  • Teresa Goode

    Teresa M. Goode is a member of the faculty teaching in the Master of Science in Leadership program. Her research interests include leadership development, consulting, process improvement, culture change, organization development and executive coaching. She is the founder of Goode Leadership Development, a consulting firm that specializes in designing and implementing leadership development programs.
  • Mary Thompson-Jones

    Mary Thompson-Jones, EdD, is a faculty member and the academic director of the Master of Science in Global Studies and International Affairs program. Her research interests include international diplomacy, the intersection of cultural diplomacy and international higher education, and U.S. foreign policy in the geographic regions of Europe and Latin America.
  • Christopher Dousharm

    Christopher Dousharm is a freelance communications consultant and technology educator based in Boston. He credits his vigorous class experiences for his ability to merge his passions for technology and communications while acquiring new skills in community management, customer experience, branding, crisis communication and organizational culture.
  • Len Mhlaba

    Dr. Sondlo Leonard (Len) Mhlaba is the associate dean of Undergraduate Academic and Faculty Affairs for the College of Professional Studies (CPS). He is responsible for issues related to the undergraduate curriculum, faculty recruitment and development, market and competitive positioning, and needs assessment. Prior to joining CPS, he served at Bunker Hill Community College as the dean of Arts and Sciences and as the dean of Mathematics, Behavioral, and Social Sciences.
  • Dan Lebowitz

    Dan Lebowitz is the executive director of Sport in Society at Northeastern's College of Professional Studies. His tenure has seen a wide spectrum of work, from a partnership with the NFL around sexual harassment prevention to a solidified position as one of the most sought-after resources for capacity-building and leadership education to sport and social change organizations. Disabled as a youth, Lebowitz used the medium of sport to shed leg braces, become a competitive body builder, coach high school basketball, and direct a performance training business. He embraces the notion that sport bridges the divisiveness of politics, offers conflict resolution to adversaries, and brings a sense of community to the disenfranchised.
  • Ellen Stoddard

    Ellen Stoddard is the director of Cooperative Education at the College of Professional Studies (CPS). Her role in program design and oversight includes opportunities to prepare international students and adults for co-ops and internships. Before coming to CPS, she worked with a variety of study abroad and teach abroad organizations in the United States and internationally. She has always been involved with programs that offer guided learning and reflection outside the classroom to enhance structured education.
  • Peter Stokes

    Peter Stokes, PhD, is executive director of Postsecondary Innovation at Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies, a role dedicated to conducting research on innovative practices across a range of academic and administrative functions within higher education. As a commentator, public speaker, and advisor to a variety of educational organizations, Peter has been a longstanding contributor to debates about higher education public policy at the federal and the state level.
  • Rudy VanVeghten

    Rudy VanVeghten worked for a quarter century as editor of the Meredith (NH) News. He currently works for the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. He is a regular contributor to de Halve Maen, a historical journal focused on "illuminating the Dutch contribution to American history."
  • French Caldwell

    French Caldwell is a vice president and Gartner Fellow at Gartner, Inc., an IT industry research advisory firm. French leads research in governance, risk management and compliance. He’s enrolled in the Northeastern University College of Professional Studies’ (CPS) Doctor of Law and Policy (DLP) program with the goal of exploring the role of emerging information technologies on how public policy is made.
  • Jason Black

    Jason Black has been a higher education administrator, problem solver and enthusiastic instructor of web communications and information technology for the CPS Informatics Program since 2009. When not at CPS, he is the director of Web Communications at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. His research interests are in the history of technology, digital communications, reflective content development and experiential learning.

    Erin Graham is a freelance writer and editor. She is a voracious reader and has a passion for learning, which she applies to her work in a variety of ways, from researching and writing engaging stories to creating and launching diverse publications to developing and cooking tasty recipes. She has 15 years of content development and editorial experience that includes launching national magazines, Web sites, blogs, online and print publications; working as Editorial Director of Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health; acting as Editor of Boston Weddings and Elegala magazines; and managing editor of The Improper Bostonian magazine. As a freelancer throughout her career, she has written feature stories for publications and institutions as wide-ranging as Women’s Health to Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard School of Public Health.
